2026 Youth of the Year

Elisha Guidry

2026 Youth of the Year Finalists

Elisha’s story is a powerful reflection of the challenges many young people face and the life-changing impact of a supportive community. She describes growing up feeling unseen and unheard, quietly carrying the weight of mental health struggles that often go unnoticed. That experience of isolation began to shift when she found her way to the Boys & Girls Club, where a welcoming environment and caring adults helped her feel recognized, valued, and safe for the first time.

Through meaningful relationships and participation in programs focused on leadership, personal growth, and workforce readiness, Elisha discovered her voice and her confidence. She emerged as a leader among her peers, taking on roles that reflect both her growth and her commitment to others. Today, she is using her experience to advocate for mental health awareness, with a vision to ensure that no young person feels invisible. Her journey illustrates how investment in Club programs not only supports individual success, but empowers young people to lead, uplift others, and create lasting change in their communities.
